RC1: Custom Designed Object/Detail
An original design/detail relating to a single object, product, or installation such as furniture, cabinetry, lighting, window covering, etc. Must include process documentation (sketch/drawing/digital model and photographs)
RC2: Historic Restoration/Preservation
Registered as historic with the municipality and/or is 100+ years old and designer either restored or maintained its original essence.
RC3: Sustainable Design
Sustainable design for entire residence or commercial space. Requirements: List of manufacturers and suppliers that have products in this entry. Additional Project description of approx. 500 words, should include the importance of “green” to the project, explain why, the products supplied were chosen, unexpected challenges, etc.
RC4: Universal Design
Universal design for entire residence or commercial space. Requirements: Additional description of how the 7 Principles of Universal Design are being used (Equitable use, flexibility in use, simple and intuitive use, perceptible information, tolerance for error, low physical effort and size and space for approach and use)
